Jim Balus, the pastor of a local church in Papua New Guinea has been working with New Tribes missionaries to take the Gospel to unreached villages.
“God’s word has not come there. They need us.”
Pastor Jim reached out to MAF for a flight to access the Hewa tribe in a small village called Minim.
The village is extremely isolated, accessible only via long treks through the jungle or by air.
Thankfully, Pastor Jim and his team of five men, one woman, and two children were able to take a 25-minute flight with MAF to break up the distance.
They stayed for four months, teaching the people literacy and sharing the Good News of Jesus.
Without MAF, the people of Minim would have been too isolated for the missionaries to get to them safely.
Sadly, over 40% of the world's population live where the Good News has never been shared, including isolated tribes like Minim.
There are still many people who have not yet heard the Gospel or have access to the Bible in their own language.
And they may never hear about Jesus,
Or know the hope and salvation they can receive in Him,
Unless someone shares it with them.
Donate today and fly the Good News to isolated people around the world.
