Stores Manager and Engineering Administration

Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and ready to make a real difference? We are looking for someone who can keep our engineering team running smoothly—both on the ground and in the skies.

You’ll be the go-to of our engineering facility, managing everything from aircraft parts and tooling to invoices and supplier relationships. You’ll also provide vital admin support—keeping records accurate, work packs flowing, and the engineering team supported so they can focus on safe, efficient operations. This is a part-time role (3 days a week), and we’re open to flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep stock, parts, and tools compliant, current, and ready to go.

  • Order, receive, and track aircraft components and consumables.

  • Support the engineering team with admin, records, training coordination, and timesheets.

  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors, manage freight, and oversee annual stocktake.

  • Be the welcoming face for visitors, calls, and customers at the engineering facility.

International Document Controller

Do you love bringing structure, clarity, and consistency to complex information? Do you take pride in producing high-quality documents that support teams around the world? MAF is looking for an International Document Controller to help ensure our manuals, policies, and procedures meet the highest standards and support our life-saving aviation work globally. Responsibilities:

  • Be at the heart of MAF’s document management system, producing, editing, and formatting controlled documents, including manuals, policies, and forms, using a range of specialist editing software.

  • Manage the document change process, issue revisions, and maintain our intranet-based repositories to ensure teams have access to the latest, most accurate information.

  • Provide vital support to document controllers across the organisation—liaising with technical authors, helping new controllers get up to speed, and stepping in for locations without a dedicated controller.

  • Assist the QSS Services team with Jira ticketing, stakeholder meetings, training events, and other administrative tasks.

Partnership Development Officer

As our Strategic Partnership Manager, you will bridge the gap between MAF’s unique flight solutions and the humanitarian and spiritual needs of a nation. This is more than a networking role; it is a high-level opportunity to build strategic alliances, influence donor relations, and empower global NGOs to go further.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forge Strategic Partnerships: Identify and establish high-level relationships with NGOs, mission agencies, and donor organizations to integrate MAF aviation into their core operational strategies.

Chief Engineer

 In this role, you will effectively manage the activities of our local Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO), ensuring that our aircraft are maintained to MAF, national and international aviation standards. In this role, you will also support the training and development of local maintenance staff by mentoring/coaching and managing training plans.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Support the training and development of aviation staff by coaching them in maintaining and participate in training plans if applicable.

  • Managing stock levels

  • Ensuring documentation is completed and organised.

  • Taking an active role in the programme's management team.

Essential:

  • Completion of approved aircraft maintenance engineer pre-employment course

Technical Services Manager - MAF Technologies

MAF Technologies, previously known in PNG as Christian Radio Missionary Fellowship (CRMF), has been serving the isolated communities of PNG since 1956. MAF Technologies exists to provide technical solutions that help advance the gospel and connect people to the vital services that are needed. They use services such as radio communication, computing, solar lighting and digital audio Bibles. Technology in PNG is advancing rapidly, and MAF Technologies is here to help.

We have a great opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to join our MAF Technologies team to oversee the technical proficiency of MAF Technologies, its services, staff and facilities.

In this role,  you will be responsible for overseeing the Technical Service department which includes Electronics, IT and Solar/Electrical. You will bring your technical expertise and provide advice, both internally and externally, as needed to find solutions and ensure quality service.

Finance Manager

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a new and exciting challenge? MAF International are looking for a new member of staff to join the finance team in our Papua New Guinea programme. 

Responsibilities

You will be assisting in the preparation of the programme's annual financial plan, based on the tactical plans of the programme.  Day to day you will be completing the financial monthly accounts including re-forecasts to the end of the year, overseeing the recording of financial transactions and reviewing month end reconciliations. Your attention to detail will be outstanding, with a methodical approach to your work you will also be required to be organised in your work habits. You will be required to lead a small team in the finance department. The role will require some travel to remote bases to conduct internal audits along with spending time in both offices.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Tertiary accounting qualifications

  • Membership of a professional accounting body

  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience leading a team

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics)

As an Avionics Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our fleet mission-ready and safe for the skies. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems across a fleet of aircraft operating in challenging terrain — making sure that every takeoff and landing happens with precision and confidence.

You’ll work closely with our technical teams in Mount Hagen and remote bases, support line and base maintenance, and ensure all work complies with local aviation regulations and MAF safety standards. We’re looking for experinced engineers who are excited to pass on skills, build capability, and help national teams grow strong and independent.

Responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for the inspection, fault diagnosis and testing of aircraft avionics systems to ensure continued airworthiness and regulatory compliance. 

  • Application of approved maintenance data, regulatory standards, and aircraft documentation to ensure all avionics systems are released to service in a safe and compliant condition.

Primary School Teacher

To enable MAF to do this critical work, we are in urgent need of Primary School Teachers to be seconded to Juba Christian Academy. JCA is a small but growing mission school that strives to provide high quality international education in a loving Christian environment. The school primarily serves the children of families in Juba working with MAF, SIL and other mission organisations. Without this school, MAF pilots and managers with young families would be unable to commit to working in South Sudan.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and operational proficiency in aircraft performance and loading, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, weather, aircraft instrumentation, crew/cockpit resource management, pilot decision making, safety and quality systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience and recent proficiency in operating small aircraft and single-pilot operations to CPL standards

  • Experience in commercial or corporate aviation is highly recommended

  • IFR Operations experience

  • Experience in mountain or bush flying

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Secondary School completion certificate

  • Completion of approved aircraft maintenance engineer pre-employment course

  • ICAO Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence without type rating

  • 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience (could be concurrent with obtaining licence)

  • Aptitude in verbal, non-verbal, numerical and mechanical reasoning

  • Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance

  • Understanding of Health and Safety principles

Desirable:

  • National Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence

  • Aircraft and engine type courses, as appropriate

  • Turbine or reciprocating engine experience
