The following report was sent to MAF following an emergency medevac in Madagascar.
Thank you so much to MAF and the part they played in the following events. On 13 March three missionaries from Scripture Union and Haggai, along with their driver, were on their way to the region of Ihorombe in the District of Ihosy.
At around 6pm they were involved in a car accident while still 20km from the city of Ihosy. A taxibus drove on the wrong side of the road uphill on a curve on its way to Fianarantsoa. The car carrying the Scripture Union and Haggai staff tried to avoid the collision, drifted off track then rolled for about 110 metres.
Everyone inside the car was injured. A passing car took them for first aid intervention at the city hospital. The white taxibus that caused the accident did not stop and kept driving with all its passengers. The following day, on 14 March, a MAF airplane came to fetch some of the injured for emergency transport to Tana. We thank God that because of His mercy nobody was killed and everyone is getting better now, although they continue to need treatment.
We are very grateful to MAF for what you have done
