Ian lives in Te Puke with his wife Nikki. They have five children, a growing number of grandchildren and are part of The Orchard Church. Ian is a kiwifruit grower and involved in church leadership and other charitable activities. Nikki is a Plunket nurse. They served with MAF in Arnhem Land between 1994 and 2005 as a pilot, living in various remote communities. They served again between 2007 and 2011, with Ian taking on the role of the Arnhem Land Programme Manager. The work of MAF is very near and dear to Ian and Nikki and they are passionate about the demonstration and proclamation of God's love through their service alongside God's people in those difficult to reach and sometimes forgotten places of the world.
